BlackBerry 7OS AR, and NFC capabilities of new equipment
BlackBerry World the occasion of the forthcoming General Assembly, RIM announced at its official website two new machines, BlackBerry 9900 and 9930.
Systems and Specifications
Bold two phones belonging to the family, with full keyboard plus touch screen design, run the latest BlackBerry 7 OS system. (According to BGR to say, BlackBerry 7 OS is based on OS 6.1 improvements, did not use PlayBook plate QNX system).
Two phone specifications are: 1.2 GHz processor, “Liquid Graphics” touch screen, support for HSPA +, 720p HD video recording, 8GB memory, 768 MB RAM, support for NFC and AR (virtual reality).
Thickness is 10.5 mm phone, RIM claims is the thinnest BlackBerry, stainless steel shell is similar to the “Advanced Materials. ”
The new features and functions
Liquid Graphics: 2.8-inch capacitive screen, 640 480 resolution; more responsive touch screen, 60 frames per second.
NFC: NFC capabilities built two phones, RIM has not announced the feature for the software and services.
AR: two phones built-in digital compass, to support location-based services and AR. New API and AR software (Wikitude) can help developers to join in the application of AR support.
BlackBerry 7 OS: BlackBerry 7 interface close to the PlayBook plate system (once rumored BlackBerry 7 will be the next-generation system QNX, now seems to have to wait.) Improved browser, voice search, pre-Docs To Go, a new feature is the BlackBerry Balance, is the function of corporate information and personal information separate, clearly designed to accommodate demand for personal social networks and enterprise security needs.
Both phones will be released in the summer, 9900 is the GSM version, may be caused by AT & T operations, 9930 is CDMA version, may be caused by Verizon operations.
